Sound = 1,120 Miles per Second...The other Build Degree

Peace...

I can't talk about music enough...My Ol' Earth bought a keyboard for me Christmas of 1988, and the fact that I could manipulate sound & have an effect on people fuckin amazed me! Hip-Hop was on top @ the time, and I was in love (I used to call music my 1st wife)...I started rapping when I was about 15 or so, and a few years later, after my cousin beat me in a battle, I started making beats for him, that was around 1999...Having been a writer myself @ the time, my shit was tailor made for blazin ' a few, downing some liquor, and coming up with the hardest shit possible!!! It just came so easy for me, & I needed NO training whatsoever, only my ears (& a blunt or few)...

Even with the above being said, I have to admit, the real turning point that influenced me to learn music production was when DJ Quik dropped Rhythmalism (1998, glad I didn't take that album cover on face value lol)

..I was often to be found drunk & high out of my mind in Early ’99 (record low temps in Milwaukee, WI that winter, wasn’t much else to do was my excuse), listening to every subtle nuance present in the music, it spoke to a genius inside of me that I HAD to experience (us Geminis tend to be creative like that, me being Allah don't hurt the fact either lol)..It was costly, but I gave all I had & all within my power at the time to be better than him :)

The business part of the music turned me away from it though (friends & $ don't always mix)...That, along with thousands of dollars of equipment being stolen from my @ that time girlfriend's house, got me frustrated with music, I divorced her for a while (the girlfriend for good :) and took to studying myself, because once again, I had found something in me that couldn't be contained, & HAD to know what it was!!! That was 2000...

We got back together in 2002 for a while, I was studying 120 @ the time, & had to have an outlet to keep my fuckin head from exploding...Something was different though, it felt more intuitive than logical, subliminal even...It was like I could speak though the music now, each track had meaning and a message, putting words over it only took away from the essence of what I had to say...Then, I re-learned something I had already Known, but not fully Understood...Sound travels as the rate of 1,120 Miles per Second...Knew that for years, but now it meant something...Sound can be used to Build and/or Destroy!!! The Knowledge (1) of Self (120) I was acquiring could be heard in the music I was doing, and I didn't have to try, because it was always there, just not organized...Certain circumstances led to an unexpected breakup again, and I ended up moving my Mecca to Mississippi, as I now call it, Master Self...

Since then, various parts of my life were being destroyed and rebuilt, and in 2005, I started taking music seriously again, this time with a determined idea - to teach & reach a person's mind, body & soul with music, subliminally...They continue daily to teach through subliminal messages, so, why shouldn't I?...

Then what happened? Well, technology is a mufucka...

In my spare time, several hundred tracks have been produced, close to 100 have been sold locally (even though I don't too much make "southern" beats, people here LOVE my style, & don't know why *shoulder shrug* ), and I've experimented a bit...I collected some of my better, but not best tracks (the Best for free, I think not!!!), and submitted 2 instrumental albums to a host site in France, just to see what the response would be...As of today, with no proactive promotion, 7127 plays, 1207 downloads since 2-22-2008 (some will know why I chose that date, Happy Father's Day ;) and that's all with very little effort on my part, solely by word-of-mouth...

(See the right of the page, download for yourself if you haven’t...if you think it's wack, say so, can only motivate me) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The biggest shocker for me, was finding myself on a blog that I'm a regular reader of...

Strictly Beats: Allah Universal

I'm in the process of choosing tracks for a 3rd instrumental album...It's yet to be titled (got a few in mind tho), and I want to do a Kanye on 'em this time (another Gemini that I think I'm better at this craft than, we share the same born-day, June 8), meaning treat it like I treat individual tracks, always outdo the last one...

I want to get some assistance with this one...I'm going for 12 tracks total, and having the damnedest time choosing from the collection, been goin ' @ it for about 3 months now...If anyone is willing to help me pick some good ones (I'm going for 12 total), and also to choose a title, it'd be much appreciated...It's a free project so no moola @ this point, but I'm just not a glory hog (anymore), who knows what'll come of it?

If anyone's up for it, just let me know, & we'll take it from there...Thanks in advance...

Peace...

Allah Universal

Oh damn, Imma need a cover too huh? That'll come after the title...

  1. On the heels of Andy Dalton's epic stinker against the Browns, the Bengals aren't giving up on their embattled franchise quarterback.

Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson on Friday accepted plenty of blame for a performance that saw Dalton tie a career low in completions (10) and suffer his worst outing in terms of completion percentage (30.3) and passer rating (2.0).

"I'm joined at the hip with him. I understand that's the way it goes," said Jackson, per ESPN.com's Coley Harvey. "I have not run from that. As he gets killed, I get killed. That's the way it goes. That's part of the business.

"But I don't want us to think we're going to cheap sale jerseys have an issue with Andy. We're not. We're going to coach Andy. We're going to help Andy get to where he needs to wholesale jerseys shop be. That's my job. We're going to coach him, continue to get him better, NFL Jerseys continue to grow."

Jackson has guided a laundry list of NFL Nike Roshe Run quarterbacks, but he Nike Free Run didn't need to dig deep to find the best example of a passer bouncing back from a disastrous start.

"The example's him," said Jackson, pointing to Dalton's solid outings in Week 8 and Week 9 after a messy showing in Cincy's 27-0 loss to the Colts in Week 7.

We don't doubt that Dalton will correct some of the flaws that NFL Jerseys Store plagued him against the Browns, but Bengals new nike nfl jerseys fans can't be blamed for feeling a wave of unease over the play of their franchise quarterback.

Instead of making the leap some Nike Air Max 90 predicted under Jackson, it's more of the same from a signal-caller known for turning out his ugliest handiwork when the spotlight burns brightest.
